I'm a big fan of Monoprice cables (CAT, hdmi, etc).
When I built my new house, I upgraded all my network (router, switch, access points) to Ubiquiti Unifi gear. Since I had ethernet to almost every room I went with their in-wall units which are pretty slick.
FYI, UBiquiti is "prosumer" gear. It's better than consumer retail stuff but not quite up to corporate enterprise level. When I say better, I don't necessarily mean faster, but more stable and consistent. My router goes months without needing a reset and that's only because I updated the firmware.
