quote:What did we sign PRob for. Because PJ was better this year than PRob was that final year with the Eagles. The guy got his arse kicked on the outside against ATL but when they moved him back inside he got better and better all season and ended up playing at a pretty high level. I'd love to have him back.
CB P.J. Williams: $5.25 million per year
Haha no

PRob was a top 5 slot CB in 2017.
PJ was better against the run. He's actually better than most slot CB's against the run. PRob blew him out of the water in coverage though.

Robinson is coming back next year, which pushes PJ back to the dime CB. He improved significantly over the course of the year, but not for $5+ million/year level. If he repeated what he accomplished this year again, and kept improving than maybe after that.
As far as Bridgewater goes, teams will take a risk on him because they are desperate. I don't think the Saints need to take that risk, with some significant potential free agents coming on the market soon including Wilson, although my guess is they will franchise tag him if they don't get a long-term deal.
That said, some teams will be dropping their veterans over the next year or two for young QBs they want to get out there.
