I hate it when teams try to recycle black when it isn’t part of their color scheme.
The Lightning has had black/white colors since their first season in NHL. The Lightnings blue color you see now was just an accent color for many years, but somewhere around 2008-2010 the Lightning started using more blue in their uniforms. Personally, I wish the Lightning never got rid of their majority black/white colors. While the newer blue uniforms look OK; the newer all blues don't have the same cool vibe those older Lightning black themed uniforms had. Those 3rd jerseys the Lightning wore the other night were just terrible, we couldn't read the numbers or names from a distance. I like black uniforms when they're done right, but those 3rd Lightning uniform need to go. The Lightning putting a white boarder around the numbers & letters made those 3rd uniforms manageable, but all grey numbers & letters wasn't a bright idea...
Regardless of what uniform the Lightning wear, they need to put an end to the scoring drought they're having lately. These last 10 games or so, the Lighting have had a tough time finding back of net. I know scoring droughts happen to everyone, but when the Lightning go into scoring droughts, it dries up to dust-bowl levels. They're either on fire or ice cold and it seems there's not much in between.
