I hope you are correct. I don't think we can prove it either way. as far as I know, the cheating in the old days was indeed prevalent but seemingly small potatoes compared to today. guys got cars, didn't have to pay their restaurant tabs and got the $100 handshakes after good games plus many got summer "jobs" from boosters but I sure don't recall the type of money changing hands that we "hear about" these days. I hear that there are HS coaches getting paid, handlers getting paid, parents getting paid, etc. but I have no proof and am not naïve.
