If you gave the above to 10,000 people randomly across the country I doubt you'd find double digit amount of people to insert a basketball player.

Ehhhh. James is a racist. If a white person said the same things he said in praising their race as he did on his show The Shop, that person’s life would be forever altered.

For those that missed it, in one breath he praised the opinion that black culture is America’s best export to the world, and then in the next breath acted as though blacks as a victim of cultural appropriation since their contributions are adopted world wide.

He’s obviously not very bright and has been used as a pawn by Obama, Jay Z, etc.

That said, he’s one of the top 3 athletes in any sport in my lifetime as far as pure athletic ability.

Agree.

Did they ever catch the people who put racist graffiti on his house?

Obvious hyperbole but he has a point: LeBron's the first player to introduce superteamism to pro basketball where players take the easy way out and join other stars to win titles and he's the embodiment and leader of today's soft player where they'll lack killer instinct at times in big games and display it in others whereas that was never the case with MJ, Bird, Kobe, etc of a prior era, it's bastardized the sport.

As for his point that LeBron's the worst thing to happen to United States culture, Bron's probably the biggest symptom of giving an inarticulate unintelligent borderline racist a megaplatform by which to influence people and become a celebrity, he didn't start this but he's exacerbated it and continues to make inane comments that lack context, history, and consistency and people hang on to it because of who he is and his influence without cross-examining him, sometimes the best respect one can give other is providing a counter-argument, challenging their conclusion, iron sharpens iron, that's never the case with the people who hang with LeBron and it's to young America's detriment.

Lebron is a mostly harmless douche. Most of his problems aren't even his own fault but just due to circumstances of how his life unfolded.

He's ignorant and selfish and thinks too highly of himself, but that description applies to vast majority of athletes and celebrities in general. Lebron is just so high profile you can't help but to notice it more.

further on this topic. i think Portnoy is right in that people like Lebron are given such a high pedestal that they're word is taken for gold. like lebron is some sort of political mastermind.

no, he's not, and his opinions have no more weight than mine.

and the fact that players are now controlling the NBA is a real problem for the league, and has made me less interested.
