I don't believe you can re-train high usage guys to be lower usage guys unless you are winning at a massive clip.

If you aren't winning 60-70% of your games, guys will start to look out for themselves and their numbers if they think that scoring will get them their next big paycheck.

The Pels won't win at a clip like that, so they need to get guys who believe their paycheck will be determined by the other things they do.

Pop probably could. It's mainly ego-based so it's doable but how do you convince a player to improve.

Julius is a good test case. He gets 25 but gives up 30? What factors in Julius's game make him consistent in this? Regression analysis can fix this and basketball is the only game with the easiest measurable factors. Players just need a TL:DR analytical report before games. And just say "hey, this isn't a report card or write up. It's just notes to take away any vulnerabilities you have".

I think one of the biggest unspoken factors to the Warriors's success is the in-house data analytics provided by Oracle. Doubt we invest in something like that, but if Gentry would be open to it, I'd provide it to the organization for peanuts lol.
