Put up a sportsman condo this year that has the same bracket system, almost, anyway raising it is a bitch we almost lost it going up using a winch, the stand shifted and all the weight went to one leg and bent the bracket, was able to make it work and used the tractor and front end loader to get it up, be careful
With bracing, yeah I looked at trying to cut the 2x4s to fit snugly into the 4x4s but it would of been some crazy triple angles that were above my skill set, talked with the sportsman condo guys and said you do not need to, just use 3.5” deck screws and let it be, go back on their website and look at the pictures and that is how they do it too

It seems the website shows how to solve the issue - they ran bracing diagonally from one corner to the other where the 2x4s will fit flush against the legs. Looks like an easy solution. Plus we’re only making them about 8 feet tall so the legs won’t be super long.
