Ashley Schapitl, a spokesperson for Feinstein, said in a statement that Feinstein and Harris were "engaged in conversations with the White House about the 9th Circuit and district court vacancies.”
quote:
By Wednesday evening, the White House renominated two of the three 9th Circuit candidates in question — Daniel Collins and Kenneth Lee, according to a source familiar with the situation — but did not intend to renominate Patrick Bumatay, who will be nominated to a seat on the district court in California. Dan Bress, currently a partner at Kirkland and Ellis and a former clerk to Justice Antonin Scalia, will be nominated instead of Bumatay.

Erick Erickson, the conservative columnist and talk radio host, accused Cipollone of going “behind the President’s back” and “trying to cut a deal that would put more progressives” on the bench. Brent Bozell, the president of the Media Research Center, wrote on Twitter, “POTUS has done a TERRIFIC job with judges. Constitutionalists couldn’t ask for more. Is his staff trying to undermine him to appease leftists in the Senate? They are giving away his strongest achievement!”

In a letter sent in October to Cipollone, Feinstein and Harris said they would be open to striking a deal to fill the 9th Circuit vacancies. The California senators said they’d support a package of nominees that included James Rogan, who was on the White House list, Judge Lucy Koh, who was on the senators’ list and a third candidate who would be discussed further.
quote:
Why would we make a deal?” Perdue said. “We don’t need Democrats to confirm these judges, he’s bringing middle of the road people who are not activists, they’re supporters of the constitution and have great records. So it’s nonsensical to me that a deal would have to be struck.”
Feinstein and the Ugandan warrior can go piss up a rope!

I have been seeing shite like this with people like Grassley and many others that make me think the DS has some sort of plan to kill Trump.
Why the hell or they all of a sudden so confident? Why in the hell or people that are supposedly flipped to trump starting to act like DS assholes again?
I hope Trump decides to burn the corrupt aholes that wanted Trump to go easy on them. F' it. Burn it all down.

Except for that pesky little confirmation thing.
The big question is can he get the Republicans to line up behind him or will they leave him to twist in the wind as he is DOA in 2020 at this point.

Do you not see what the democrats are doing?
Trump isn’t doa in 2020.
If he is the country is

Unless he gets a great deal of wall built and kills the ACA I see no path to victory for him unless the Democrats manage to nominate someone as reprehensible as Hillary again.
Winning the White House is not about converting voters it is about getting your own base to vote and he just is not generating as much enthusiasm while the Dem base is motivated as all get out.
It is not about what I want it's just the mechanics of it.

The article is bullshite. You replace one nominee with.....a person who clerked for Scalia???? That does not sound like your typical 9th circuit judge.
This "blue note" business where you would not nominate a judge in a district where the senators did not vote for them went out the window when cocaine mitch took charge.
Take an honest look, the 9th circuit has been a royal pain in the arse for Trump, no way he would just backfill with more liberal loons.

I don't understand this opinion. Trump is at least trying to get that stuff done. First president in decades to try such things. So why wouldn't a rational person still vote for the only candidate probably in their lifetime that is trying to do what conservatives want done.
What I hear is this: I didn't get everything so frick him, lets give the devil worshippers the world to rape! Half isn't good enough. I am not willing to wait for the other half. Unacceptable!
I am baffled! Unless the people saying this stuff are really antifa.

and if people aren't absolutely repulsed by what the democrats have become the country is done
One guy has to drag the fricking country where it needs to go all by himself? People should be motivated to stop this kook bullshite all by themselves.
If you are correct we are done.
Are there any elected Republicans saying anything about this abortion shite? Are there any saying anything about the democrats wanting to take over health care and wanting to give it away free to illegals? WTF are they planning on doing when Trump isn't around?

You are missing the forest for the trees, most Americans do not bother to vote and the Dems have denied Trump any sort of win on the three items that turned out the vote for him last time.
Wall
ACA
Budget
Trump is going to have a tough time ginning up much enthusiasm when his message is I know I promised this before and we had full control for 2 years but I pinkie promise if you elect me again I will get er done.
It is not necessarily all his fault but he is where he allowed himself to be placed and it all started the moment he signed the Omnibus and continued when he ended his own shutdown without wall funding.
