People downvoted my previous post that it is a disappointment, but this thread shows the general consensus behind it.

This game is a much anticipated title.

It has been out for about a week.

The thread on this board has under 100 posts.

To be fair the KH series is a niche audience.

There's not many Square fans left, and most of them bailed after FF15.

So you are taking a game geared towards kids and square fans (this is a Disney game, don't forget) and coming to a message board of LSU and Saints fans.

That demographic isn't going to be a lot of people. If you want the real reaction, go to the KH3 reddit or gamefaqs page.

I'm a square fanboy and will always be. I'm loving this game, but I can assure you, this game is for a niche audience, and the demographics are not people that watch NCAA and NFL football. People here on the forum that like the KH series are easily the exception to the rule.

I just left Toy Box, I'm having a total blast.

I can also tell you, this being on the Unreal 4 engine, has me VERY excited for the FF7 Remake.

Is KH3 some masterpiece? Not really. Too many cutscenes, not enough FF. But the secret ending addresses the FF part.

But damn if I'm not having a blast playing a series from basically 20 years ago and soaking it all in,

Not many games are going to live up to the hype after 13 years. Square keeps shooting themselves in the foot with the hype/development time.

FF7 is the next curlprit, it's going to get slammed esp bc of what game it is.

But damn if I can't wait.

Game dev might have passed square up. They are are a relic of the past, and I'm just glad they are still around.
