NFL wanted LA market engaged and Arthur didn’t want The Who Dat Nation invading Atlanta. Why not pay the refs off to miss some calls to make it hard but not impossible to win the game? Seems like we were on an uphill battle all game with missed calls on both offense and defense. None more agregous than the last PI

Why wouldn’t he buy off the refs to let his team hold onto to a huge lead in the SB?

Population of Los Angeles: Four Million

Population of NOLA: 392,000

The LA media market area is more than EIGHT TIMES the size of the NOLA media market.

Now, what's the best way to ignite RAMS MANIA in that new media market, which is more than 8 times the size of that old media market?

Finally, people think that the Refs are like Eliot Ness and the Untouchables -- can't be bribed. Everybody has a price, folks, and, a "No-Call" here and there can boost your own personal finances. These Refs aren't subjected to any professional forensic analysis of their personal finances. The Refs are people and people can be bought.

I posted this far-fetched hypothetical in an earlier thread and got hammered with insults (which I could give a frick about).

Fact is nothing would surprise me anymore when it comes to the NFL and Goodell in particular. Even crazy shite like this.

How much did he pay Brees to skip the ball to Thomas that ends the game? Did Brees get extra for the OT int?

How much did he pay the defense to fall asleep on the final 3 drives for LA to let them tie the game twice and then win it?

Dude is a billionaire. He could give a frick about an nfc south fan rivalry. He’s going to make serious money having the big game in their brand new stadium.
