Depends what you want to do and see? If you want to do it without a cruise I wold probably recommend Anchorage and the Kenai for a first timer.
Visit Seward, Anchorage, possibly Denali depending on time

Does a cruise allow you to see more things? I just figured that it would limit options.
We really want to see Denali and then as much wildlife as possible. Possibly fish if we have time.
