2020 election...can the dems since they have the house hold up the confirmation until the election or is it that the republicants have the senate can confirm trumps nominee?

His re-election is a long way away, so he would bank that his constituents would forget about Barrett. I think he is Hell-bent on becoming the next "Republican" Never Trump McFlake in the Senate. I hope you're right, though.
