The other not so apparent benefit will be the Chinese will not be buying near as much US debt as it will now be using US dollar reserves to buy US goods instead.
That is a benefit in my eyes because it will contribute to rising interest rates and maybe one day we will force Congress to deal with it's deficit spending.

Probably the same people buying it now, majority of our debt is domestically owned, and of the foreign debt chini owns about 1.2 trillion....chump change.
