Likewise I don’t think anyone is advocating we make all land public..

No but it appears most wouldn’t even consider the thought of selling a WMA. Not even one or two. Seems odd to me that generally people feel the government is wholly inefficient at nearly everything it does. But somehow it is good at the land management/conservation business.

Please explain to me if you are a small government conservative why you want to adopt the demonstrably inferior management practices of Europe (privatization of public lands and protection of the "King's Deer"). Which was better, management practices in the 1800s or management practices today, throughout the country? With the exception of Buffalo, there are more species thriving today throughout this country than when Lewis and Clark journeyed west - so save me this BS that the government can't do anything right.

Along those lines, next explain to me how if government is so incompetent at everything it does, why the Pittman-Robertson Act has been so unbelievably effective, to the point I would argue it may be the single most successful piece of legislation ever passed in our nation. President Roosevelt, who you ignorantly refer to as a socialist, and his creation of National Parks has been referred to by historians as "America's Best Idea" and is emulated worldwide today. Here is a link to a documentary to start learning about public lands: America's Best Idea

Conversely, do you want to have a conversation about private management of lands? Because I am happy to bring up the hundreds of superfund sites such as Love Canal and the Valley of the Drums that were privately managed so well and helped improve our natural resources like the Cuyahoga River to the point it caught on fire.

Oh, and I will add as a last point, it is "small government conservatives" like you that gave the democrats another senate seat in John Tester from Montana. Tester is disgusting, especially what he did to Admiral Ronny Jackson, but he defended public lands from EXACTLY the type assault you are advocating and that drove rural Montanans to vote for him...great job "conservative."

I get you think you are being cute and trolling people, but many of us actually care about our public lands and the incredible diversity of creatures our land is blessed with, not just for hunting, but that make up part of our American identity.
