Most people who own 229's don't actually carry them.
(Of course that's also true of most M&P and Glock owners.)
But if you're going to actually carry on a serious (EDNDO) basis, get an M&P or a Glock. They weigh less, plus you'll only have to master one trigger pull.
If you're really committed to practicing enough to master the DA/SA trigger, ignore the second clause in the preceding sentence.
If you're not committed to that level of practice (a few thousand rounds), but are still committed to carrying a SIG, I guess you could get one with the DAK trigger.
