Further, if the average government worker is making $65,000 per year, not including health insurance fringes (that I assume are not cancelled from non-payment), after taxes the take home for a two-week pay period is $1875.

I'm broke as shite, but I could hack that for at least a few pay periods before I start to worry.

At some point they will get it back from their employer,us. The same people who got laid off in '08 thru '12, with no hope in a tough economy, and lost their health insurance when the prices tripled.

What makes this even better is that every article I have read includes a sad story from an IRS employee. It is as if the MSM wants galvanize us against government employees.

Not if you live in a major urban city. And again, what about contractors? They won't get back pay.

These are private companies being directly impacted by the shutdown, read it and then comment.
