Uber is your friend.
U-boat at the Science & Industry Museum is amazing
Lots of great museums and art galleries.
Tour Soldier Field if possible.
Navy Pier is overrated.
Giordano's is my favorite of the big 3 chains in town (Gino's/Malnatti's)

Agree to an extent, but the 'L' is convenient, dependable on weekends, and not overly difficult to navigate. Only time I would recommend Lyft/Uber is going East <-> West, assuming you want to save as much time as possible.
