My son had it when he was about 18 mos old. He was crying so we knew something was wrong since he had always been such a happy baby.
Took him to the Pediatrician and she immediately recognized intussiception and sent us strait to the hospital and called the pediatric surgeon. Initially, they tried to reduce it with air, but that was not working so in to surgery he went.
They took his appendix out and reduced it and it has not recurred. He is 23 now.

Had a dog that had it,vet removed section of her colon.I myself had part of my colon removed for diverticulitis,not much fun.
