re: San Francisco hotel recommendations

We have stayed at the Fisherman's Wharf hotels before and they were fine, but I would rather stay on Union Square, the St. Francis being my favorite. You asked about the homeless people around there. There are plenty of them and they can be aggressive and belligerent, but that is something you just have to put up with. It comes with the territory. And the parking rates are a lot cheaper by the wharf.
