re: San Francisco hotel recommendations

We’ve stayed in Presidio (the inn) for one night on the way to Sonoma. We were a quick uber from Gary danko’s and then took our car to lunch at the Cliff House on the way out of town. The Presidio location allowed for a great morning walk with close views of the Golden Gate Bridge and some gorgeous houses. For the price we enjoyed it.

We’ve also stayed at the W which I think was downtown. But that was years ago and I had an employee discount for Starwood.
