Gymnastics is a very subjective sport, which allows for more politics and bias to be involved. LSU should have won it a few times, but the "bluebloods" of the sport always get the benefit of the doubt. For LSU to win the national championship, they will have to blow programs like Oklahoma, Alabama, and UCLA out, which means they need to be close to perfect AND those programs (depending on which make the finals) need to struggle to the point where the average viewer can tell.

Actually Oklahoma is a johnny come lately to the championship circle. LAU has been hampered by a couple of unexpected low scores by senior stars. Even more it seems they dont get adequate credit for their daring up tempo floor shows while Oklahoma does bread and butter and scores higher or at least within range so it does not impact the final result. One of these years all the stars will align lik ethey have for Oklahoma and Florida and the ladies eill bring home that elusive title.
