O always seems to be in his first year.

The guy took over a team with a roster that was sorely depleted on offensive line, defensive line and QB. WR was a little weak, too. He had to rebuild these. It doesn't happen in one year. In February Ed Orgeron will have signed three recruiting classes. The first one was Les' class that he simply held onto. The second class was signed with barely over a year to work on it. This last class was signed with the benefit of two solid years of work, and it is one of the nation's best. Next year's class looks like it could be the #1 class in America.

I call this moving in the right direction. Look at the two trends for the most recent years:
Recruiting rankings: 7 - 15 - 3 - 1(?)
Record: 8-4; 9-4; 10-3
I was against the hire, but I'm on the fence now. If he does not improve on three losses next year I will be in favor of replacing him. But if he does, I think we should extend his contract.
