Solid thread. Burrow exceeded all reasonable expectations and provides cause for great optimism in 2019.

We passed for 325 more yards this year than last year.
We ran for more than 400 fewer yards this year

I think an uprade at RB will lead to overall production

No knock on Brosette, he far exceeded what I thought he could do. Just was meant to be a change of pace back

And on top of that he came in super late and still learned the offense and made connections with some of the WRs.

I think Burrow will be one of the top 3 QBs in the SEC if not second to Tua. This offense will grow under his leadership in the offseason while he and Steve E work on some things to advance the offense. Not only that but he will now have a few TEs to throw the ball to as well as some great RBs to hand off to.

This will be one of the deepest OLs, QB, DLs, LBs and WR position that we've had in a very long time. I think we'll be saying the same thing for a couple of years because these positions will not only gain in the depth department but in the quality of depth department as well. That's what makes a team special and that's what takes so long when a teams depth is depleted the way it was before O took over.

In 2 years we might have so much depth that we will be letting highly rated 4*s leave the program and guys who when they leave will actually contribute at other schools. When LSU gets to the point where we don't need to wait for guys who are developing slowly to develop is when we'll be right back where we were in 2006 and 2007. I honestly believe we are on a trajectory to get to that point in 2 years or after the 2021 class.

That's why you stack your QB, OL, DL and LB positions up so that you can create real quality depth and competition so you can let the players who aren't getting it done go while brining in better players to replace them and start over them. When those positions see that type of competition at their spot, they will HAVE to compete harder and become better players from the get go and not hold you hostage because you can't get rid of them anyways so they just do as they please until they're ready.

The skill positions IMO can be replaced much easier every year. Louisiana is typically full of RBs, WRs and DBs. Plus LSU already has this stigma of great DB play here. Not that those positions matter less but more emphasis should be placed on the big 4 QB, OL, DL, and LB. That's where you separate your program IMO and most other professionals opinions. It's slowly coming around and I love to see it.
