When I went home for lunch today I was doing some reading and realized there's something (can't remember the name) that airs after each ep that's like a followup interview kinda thing, unfortuantely none are available on demand so I have to wait til tuesday dammit. I did however find an ep I hadn't seen before, it was aired before E1 taht was kind of a look into the process and focused more on the experts. I did find a few things interesting from there.

-For starters they showed one girl on there, didn't interview her just showed her 5 or 6 times, and MY LORD it was one of the hottest people I've ever seen. Wish they'd have gone wiht that girl. Goodbye unknown hot girl whoever you are.
-Kristine in her pre-interviews said something liek "I don't want a chubby guy or someone who's not going to work on getting fit". The working out thing seems to be pretty important to her...at the moment her and keith look like a fantastic couple but I'm wondering if that issue is just a ticking time bomb.
-AJ said he's a die hard florida fan. Once he said that it clicked, we should have known from the start. He just LOOKS like your stereotypical gator fan. Short spiky hair, oddly trimmed thinbeard, goofy as hell. I mean he is the embodiment of what I envision a FL fan to look like, minus the jean shorts. Oh he's also a jets fan apparently. Lives in pennsylvania, fan of the jets and gators. Sounds about right.
-And now for the topic I continue obssessing about, luke and kate. When doing their background interviews Luke said one of the reasons he started the speed dating gig was because he bought a car that was too expensive for him. So know we have a glimpse into his lack of good decision making. That has nothing to do with kate, I just thought it was interesting. In Kate's interviews she said she was agnostic...I wonder if that could play a factor in luke's hatred of her?
-When the experts get together at the end and dissect the couple pairings, the blonde expert was like "Their political views are so in line, and they both love to live life and have fun". Ummm..ok? If you're matching someone because their "political values" whatever that means are similar, that's an issue in my book. And the 'live life and have fun' is such a throwaway, it's irrelevant. Who is going to say "yeah, honestly I really hate having fun". Everyone loves having fun, that's no reason to match someone.
-The black expert Cal spoke about their personalities. He said kate is very talkative and has a big bubbly personality while luke mainly shuts down. That's clear about luke but I haven't seen this big personality from kate. Maybe it's there but to me she seems super quiet and shy. The blonde lady then pointed out that luke tends to use humor to deflect or to diffuse an arguemnt, boy was she right on that. How many snarky little backhand things have we heard just from their first day in costa rica? He's taken shots about how much toothpaste she uses, when she showers, how much coffee she drinks...I mean it's like he's constantly pointing out things to criticize about her.
-And last but certainly not least, a bombshell. In their pre-interviews with the experts one of the topics was "deal breakers". One girl said he can't be fat. One guy said "she can't have a beard". They get to luke and what is his answer? SMOKING!! He actually said that would be a dealbreaker! Now we're getting somewhere. The quesiton now is WHEN was the first time he saw her smoke? He mentioned it day 2 in costa rica so I assumed it was on night 1 or after their wedding or something, but that wouldn't explain why he was turned off from the very first minute. My FINAL (at least most current) theory ties back to the speed dating night. I believe that kate went wiht a friend to luke's speed dating and he noticed her for one reason or another. I contend that due to kate going with a friend and being in that type of environemnt, she was probably drinking, maybe more so than she normally does, and maybe got a little sloppy. So maybe luke is already a bit turned off from her being kind of drunk. Then the coup de gras, with her being pretty buzzed she starts smoking like a chimney. Just RAILING squares all night. Luke, since he alreadyd had an eye on her, takes sure notice of this and is disgusted. This explains two things. One, why he was so utterly disappointed from the first minute he saw her, because he knew before they even said their vows he wasn't going to be into it, and two, why he refused to kiss her for so long.
