Galaxy Quest (CRIMINALLY underrated movie) scene where Capt. Taggart is down on the planet when a very real rock monster is attacking him and the actors that make up his crew are giving him useless suggestions like 'go for the eyes' (it doesn't have eyes), 'look for it's vulnerable spots' (it's a rock, it doesn't have any vulnerable spots), 'You need a weapon. Look around. Can you fashion a rudimentary lathe?', and 'you're just going to have to figure out what its motivation is'.
