What's funny? Do you think the backup to Mahomes could put up 30+ points a week to win? Because that's what it takes with KC's defense. Even with all those weapons I seriously doubt it. Mahomes is a generational talent. Take your glasses off.

Mahomes can have whatever stats he wants but the proofs in the pudding

The chiefs have had double digit wins the 2 seasons prior to Mahomes. He is not carrying them. Yes their defense needs lots of work but they are loaded on offense and have been for a few years now.

KC was great last year without Mahomes, and Henne is a good QB and former starter in this league. Andy Reid’s offense is great for QBs and always has been. He makes a valid point. I don’t think you can definitively say that the Saints are better off without Brees than KC is without Mahomes.

And the stat argument is weak. If our defense was dog shite and Brees had to throw as much as Mahomes, the stats would be about the same. Their passer ratings show us this.
