Best fishing use to be spring.
We went twice in the spring and twice in the fall.

Things in Mexico are a lot worse than 80’s and 90’s. They use to give you BS tickets which you paid no big deal pay it and move on. Now they raised the game in some areas taking you hostage and someone paying your ransom.

Just easier to fly and have the lodge arrange everything.

We shipped our tackle down a week or so before we went. Use to be cheap from Southern California.

There's a new lake that opened a couple years ago called Lake Picachos. We fished it last year and caught a bunch of fish. It's not quite a trophy lake yet, but there are bigger fish being caught every year.

It's only a 45 minute drive from Mazatlan opposed from the 3 hour drive to Commedero and 1.5 hour drive to El Salto.
