I'm probably the last person to know this, but...I'd read a post yesterday from Farley's FB page that said not only was he gonna be the original voice of Shrek, but most of his dialogue was already recorded. A very credible role in a family movie might've been the shot in the arm he was hoping for...

That’s crazy. Always thought Myers kind of helped develop that role. Hard to imagine anyone else as Shrek but yeah Farley would have been awesome.
