After Stingley signed his LOI with LSU he had a very prominent role in Dunham's Lower School Christmas Program.(the 12 Days of Christmas to be exact)

At this point the TV cameras and reporters were gone. This was 100% voluntary. For all intents and purposes he was done with high school at this point. The only reason for him to do it was to be a positive influence on a bunch of three to ten year olds. He did the entire thing with a huge smile on his face.

Forget the measureables and the stars. He has something that can't be measured. This is an outstanding young man. His parents should be and undoubtedly are proud of him. Neil Weiner(aka CoachNW) and the rest of the Dunham staff have a good thing going.

PS- the head master, a Scotish gentleman, and the lower school principal also had a prominent role in the 12 Days of Christmas and have a great sense of humor.

It's like you think I could like Derek Stingley more than I already do.

Maybe you were right...but it's close.

Here's a tidbit that I don't think many people are aware of.

He's extremely good at football.

My fiancé teaches in the Dunham lower school. Stingley was kind enough to take a picture with a group of teachers. I would post a picture but she would kill me if she found out

She showed me the video of their 12 days of Christmas program with stingley - it was great! Yes, the headmaster and lower school principle are seen having fun with their creative costumes

Shea posted something the other day saying the kid has everything. He's smart, well grounded, works his arse off, has freakish talent, and just an all around good kid. I can't wait to root for him. Seems like a future leader for LSU and beyond.

I like how he picked off Burrow in practice when Burrow tried to test him. It will be a huge spring for him.
