Instead it's Exhibit A of Sean Payton trying to get too cute in a critical situation so he can be the smartest guy in the room and almost pissing away a shot at HFA.

That hindsight of knowing TLL was going to fumble the ball into the endzone for a touchback is really just something Payton should have anticipated.

Amazing some people are saying this.

Like you do realize the play worked, right? It was a good play call, you can't coach scared and anticipate someone is going to fumble. Blame TLL not Payton.

Maybe the Saints can pick up the LSU OC and the play calling can be just a bit more calming for you
