I wouldn’t say all. People do have legit reasons, but those people aren’t the ones like in the OP and posting about it.

that's a good point.
the people who actually need a mental health day aren't likely to be yelling it at the top of their lungs from social media platforms.

I don’t post about it, but I absolutely will take a sick day if I just need to get the frick away from the shite at work/coworkers and I’ve reached my all out of fricks to give moment.
As far as I’m concerned it’s a “sick day”, it’s just that I’m sick of the bullshite. I tend to be in a better mindset to get shite done when I come back.
People should take more mental health days, especially the way we work the people in our country. My Dad rarely took off when he worked and his biggest regret in retirement is not taking enough time to take care of himself. Especially physically.
