Historically terrible? Come on. There were some parts that weren't that great but it's far from being the worst.

The Meg, Skyscraper, A Wrinkle in Time, Nutcracker and the Four Realms, Pacific Rim Uprising... these were all $100 million+ movies released this year that have clearly worse CG. Judging from the ads I'm sure movies movies like Mortal Engines and Robin Hood are also full of terribad CG as well.

The last act was laughable in the effects. That was 20mins.

It was historically bad some of those scenes.
