How’s the 2nd split going for everyone?

3 man limit on specks this morning. Had a chance at some widgeon and mallards but the geese were crazy thick in Gueydan. How’d opening morning go for y’all?

Were just south of y’all and did well. Saw lots of teal. Specks were everywhere too.

Limited out in Venice birds are thick with a lot of teal, greys, and pintail

The wife and I shot a two man limit, one grey, one Spoonie, and the rest teal.

On the way home from work today, while traveling east from lake charles to carencro, i must have seen about 6k to 8k geese flying south over I10 around 5pm between welsh and jennings.

Where are yall in gueydan? We are in wright 2 miles north of 14 and its a ghost town when it comes to ducks. Few snows around. But its bleak

Hammered them this weekend in Forked Island near White Lake. Mostly teal, couple pintail, mallard, 4 grays.


ETA: Saw several thousand on Friday when we were brushing the blind
