Moron. When did Mike Slive attend Alabama?

I'm not referring to Mike Slive. The SEC Commissioner is ultimately a face of the conference. There are other facets of the SEC, you know.....

MORON

quote:

Saban knows what kind of socks his graduate assistants wear on gameday. It isn't some secret formula, he just works harder than everyone else and pays attention to the details better than anyone else. That can't be copied because it's part of who he is as a person.

Yet, when he was at LSU, he had one season where he didn't lose more than three games, and his teams, even the 2003 NC team, were consistently one of the most penalized in the league.

Saban left LSU, went to the NFL, where he failed miserably and left in less than a year.

Not saying he isn't a great college coach at all. Also not saying he doesn't work hard. I saw it first-hand at LSU. Difference is, now he now has a support system he wouldn't have anywhere else but a few select programs. Bama is one of those.

At this point, he really has no excuse whatsoever not to win the SEC every year.

As to the Auburn fan who pointed out that other teams can and have won the West....

Well, what good did that do? This point also brings validity to the OP.

But hey, keep denying that the duck quacking in your face isn't a duck. That's the part that amuses me the most.

This is your quote
quote:

when the SEC started the ascent, the Bama alum that ran it never had any intention whatsoever of keeping a level playing field in the conference in order to establish dominance

who's the (singular) "Bama alum that ran it (the SEC)"?

quote:

Yet, when he was at LSU, he had one season where he didn't lose more than three games, and his teams, even the 2003 NC team, were consistently one of the most penalized in the league. Saban left LSU, went to the NFL, where he failed miserably and left in less than a year.

Coaches get better with more experience. Saban is better at his job now than he was in 2004

First, he did not "fail miserably". His record was 15-17 in the NFL. Second, he did not leave in less than a year. he coached two full seasons in Miami.

Wow. You remind me of those who think Bush orchestrated 9/11 so he could invade Iraq and kill Saddam for his dad.

Oh...and so we could steal all their oil.

This cannot be said enough.

the "support system" - both the legit and dirty parts - was the missing piece for Saban.
