I think that if the G5 split, they would need some sort of a merger with the FCS to really galvanize interest. There are plenty of FCS schools that could make the jump to G5. North Dakota St is a quality program. I'd love to see Boise St vs North Dakota St or a UCF @ Montana in WaGrizz Stadium. That would be epic!!!
