Great people take a stand for something and are willing to accept the consequences. Kap with all this whining doesn’t seem like one of them.

My take on it is he's embracing and monetizing the martyrdom notion attached to his actions and protests to facilitate a transition to a new career and did it at the right time because it was pretty clear by 2015-16 he was no longer a viable NFL QB and it wouldn't make sense for him to actually return and accept less money than what he's making with the Nike campaign currently, to what? Be a backup? No tanks, I'll monetize victimhood, less physically painful.
