Why didn't start college until I was 22 so I know what it's like be educated in a workforce and I know what it's like to be educated in college. I'm thankful for every day that I was able to learn in school.

There are many types of welders in the world and in may cases they must go thru rigorous training to do their job.

I'm not saying their jobs aren't hard but I think it's a little sophomoric to say that a welder is smarter. I'm not saying a welder is dumber nor am I saying they are smarter. But that same welder would probably be smarter if we went to school and learned 120 + curriculum hours in and organized and thoughtful environment.

Getting a degree in Womerns' Studies isn't nearly as impressive as learning to become an underwater welder and I would gather that in most cases, yes, the person who is the underwater welder is smarter than the blue-haired freak who got their degree by parroting the party line.

Sounds like you have a bias based on an associative stereotype

It is ignorant to do anything other than judge them on a case by case basis.

People like you feel the need to put people into neat little boxes.

So let's bring this together. Was it actually advantageous in some ways for you to begin college late? If so, why?

Smarter how?

Do you think the fact that he can regurgitate some garbage he read in a book makes them "smarter"?
