He’s 15. It’s not like I took my 10 year-old. He’s suffered through some bullying, actual bullying, in his life that was detrimental. While the movie is sad, it also teaches the insurmountable lengths some people will go to go to do good and how mentally strong people can be to survive when they need to.

Yeah, it came out when I was in high school and we went to see it with an extracurricular club. It was powerful. I'm not sure I've ever made myself watch the full thing in one sitting since then.

If your son (or you) is interested in more reading, it's pretty fascinating how the movie got made. A survivor living in Los Angeles pestered anyone he met in Hollywood about making a movie about his hero Schindler. Finally got an Australian writer to write the book Schindler's Ark and began the process.

SL and Saving Private Ryan are two movies I insisted my two daughters watched. A lot could be solved with the millennial generation if more parents did this.
