I could see that. I thought he stuck the landing on that book though, it had a fitting finish to the trilogy.

Love Greatcoat, it's gritty fantasy three musketeers goodness. It's similar to powder mage in that the first book is solid and then it really gets going after that.

Castell is a really great under the radar fantasy author. Talking about him reminds me I have the final book of his most recent 6 book series on my Kindle to read.
