I have a buddy with a suppressed ruger American 22. Its dead quiet and he just recently put the hammer down on some pigs with it. He put it behind the shoulder. Also, he was hunting in a field so he could watch them die 20 yards away.

I’m not saying don’t get it. I’m just saying that they aren’t really that quiet with reg ammo. I’m sure you can kill anything with a well placed shot.

A .22 will certainly kill hogs.

A .22 is best used to kill hogs by shooting just behind the ear.

I would expect all but the smallest of hogs shot behind the shoulder with a .22 at supersonic speeds to run away and most likely survive.

This is an excellent excuse to suppress something much bigger.

Read up on kill shots for pigs. The heart is much lower and towards the front than a deer. Shoot hogs in the shoulder, if not the head (especially ear hole).

Don't shoot pigs like a deer
