Our hotel was near the airport, and although that meant we weren't conveniently near anything walkable, our view of Boston Harbor was amazing. A water taxi made it very easy for my (future) daughter in law to go to a Bruins game one night.
A lot of my meals were a part of the conference I was attending, but I was able to get out a little bit. My best meal was Afghani food at a restaurant called Helmand in Cambridge. If you haven't been, give it a go! Try the pumpkin appetizer (kaddo) and the eggplant appetizer (banjan). Also, my entree was something called Dwopiaza. So good!!! Helmand Restaurant
We also had lunch at a fast/casual place called Anoush'ella. Armenian-Lebanese.
I hate to disappoint Bostonians by admitting that I had dinner at a chain, but we ate at Legal Harborside one night and I had a lobster roll and some chowdah.
We did some touristy things like a Hop On, Hop Off trolley tour, but that helped me get a nice overview. My favorite thing was visiting Harvard. Walking through Harvard Yard was on my bucket list.
