Ohio State barely made the playoffs in 2014, and if the Big 12 had a conference title game either TCU or Baylor would have gone over them.

Do you think that Ohio State was the best team in 2014?

I think the reason behind 4 teams is sound. There are the P5 so a conference champ is going to be left out. Most years more than one. Ohio State deserved to be in and beating two of the other three in back to back weeks proves it.

I can't recall.

The point is that the playoff was designed because the question of who the best team was sometimes had more than two names. It has never had more than four.

The current playoff is perfect.
