She was in no danger and could have not entered the apartment or backed out and called back up. Certainly didn’t need to enter the premises. Who does she think she is, Axel Foley.
No need to enter and shoot when there was no clear present danger to her. Take your wanna be Rambo arse to the military.

Some questions that need to be answered to clear things up:
1. How easy could it be to confuse the floors of these apartments? It seems like there must be a parking garage that had multiple level parking that somewhat matched to the apartment levels. Is this parking garage somewhat confusing, thus making it easier to confuse your own apartment level? Do other residents have problems going to the wrong floor?
2. How soon had her shift finished to when he was shot and killed? In other words, does it match up to her story? If it is shown that she drove straight home and ultimately went straight to his apartment and killed him, that weakens the pre-meditated argument brought forward earlier, IMO.
