Dude I don't know what kind of pharmacy you run or where you run it. But when I worked in retail and service industry while in school we were taught to treat the customer with respect and the customer was always right.

I was kind of freaked out when I first posted this because it just happened and I wanted to see if folks thought this was a legitimate threat or if the guy was just popping off. Chances are he was just popping off but you never know. Could I have handled it better? Yes. But at the end of the day she should have handled things better and it would have never happened. Am I going to complain to management? No, because I have some fault here to and I don't want to see someone get fired before Christmas.

This is no longer the case.

Customers like you are the reason.

Buddy, if I give people whatever they want or rush to completion under duress, I could neglect important facts, err and harm someone.

This time of year is stressful for everyone. You’ll feel better if you apologize, and you may receive an apology too.

Merry Christmas

Sounds like you're aware you were a dick. This can't be the first time a business wasn't able to fulfill a guarantee in your experience. Is it disappointing? Sure. But it doesn't give you license to be an arse. She told you upfront that circumstances dictated they wouldn't be able to do it that day...at least she had the respect to tell you upfront rather than not warn you at all and let you find out too late. You say she could have handled it better, but if it happened the way your OP describes it, you popped off first, and you know what? Sometimes you get the person that has no patience for your attitude and you get attitude back. It's the risk you take when your first reaction to getting an answer you don't like is being a dick.
