I was in the market a little over a year ago. Wanted a 2-4 year old 4x4 truck with 50k-75k miles. Everything I found used was in the $28k-35k price range. I ended up buying a brand new one with year end close out incentives for $31k. I looked for several months and could not find a used one worth buying. I still don’t know who in the heck is paying these used prices. When I went to sell my old truck (13 years old with 190k miles) I accepted an offer right at kbb value, then before we could finalize paperwork I had guys calling offering over kbb and my asking price if I would sell it to them instead!

For the record, I had already shook the first buyers hand and told him we had a deal so I declined the other offers and sold at the original agreed upon price. The whole experience still baffles me.

Feel like this is what I'll end up doing. Just looking at different dealerships and seeing this one NEW 2018 GMC SIERRA just makes me think I'd be throwing away money buying used for around $15k.

I just found a 2014 4x4 with 14,000 miles for $29,900. Little more than I want to pay but I'm going to have to pull the trigger on this.
