Benchmarks of Conservatism....do they exist?

I don’t expect any Trumpers to post with any thought, just down votes and deflection posts. Give it some thought. After GM announced that they are cutting jobs and Ford and Tesla may soon follow suit.
Free market capitalism. GM announces cuts in jobs, 45 threatens the company with punishment for the company doing what is in share holders best interest. He did the same with Amazon. The corporate welfare...millionaire handout tax cut proves to be more and more of a mistake, but avg Joe Trumper thinks it’s benefitting them.
And yet Trumpers make excuses for him, after he demonstrates he doesn’t know anything about tariffs and interest rates. Maybe it’s time to admit your orange messiah is a damn idiot that can’t make an exact point on any question he’s asked. Everything he speaks to is in generalities. He’s an empty suit.

trump never once claimed to be, or ran as a conservative 
thats not why he was elected in a huge landslide

So the President threatening companies for closing down plants that employ thousands of people the President is supposed to protect is bad?
And lowering tax rates inside the US is bad because it, coupled with tariffs, provides incentive to companies to move production to the US and keep it here?
But full free market capitalism is what we should be continuing to go with because its been oh so wonderful to the working class in the US? How many factories have been closed because companies didn't get punished for moving production overseas? Having a high corporate tax rate only furthers the incentive for a company to move overseas where there is cheaper labor and looser labor laws.
I'll take someone trying something different over the process that has hollowed out manufacturing and turned the industrial belt into the rust belt.

In the context of your OP, most conservatives would like the United States (corporation) to CONSERVE its financial resources. What you call “punishment”, conservatives would call a reduction in wasteful spending (handouts/bailouts) to mega corporations. Of course… your Leftist mental illness mentions tax breaks for corporate elites, but through the conservative lens, it looks like less extortion of capital from companies in which Uncle Sam will just send in cash pallets to Iran.
Bottom line... benchmarks of Conservatism include the elimination of waste, fraud, and abuse of extorted $$$ from Joe & Jane Taxpayer. President Trump has done more for this conservative value than any other during my lifetime of 50 years.
