I didn't begin to hear this narrative until almost 2 days after the fact, and not until after the police started backtracking. From the very beginning, within an hour or two of this happening, I was hearing that were was no warning, no "drop your gun", just shoot on sight.


EJ also was not even close to the only shopper who brandished his gun as he was fleeing, it was mentioned in the very first alert before there were any other facts that several shoppers were seen exiting with guns drawn.

Its a shitty situation all around. Cop comes around the corner and sees a guy with a gun right by where there was a report of shots fired, kind of hard to blame him. At the same time, EJ doesn't deserve to be dead and its tragic. At this point I don't hold any anger towards the individual officer, but the anger should be directed towards the city, the law enforcement agencies handling this case, the galleria, and the media for the way they have all handled this.
