I’d say it isn’t nearly as picky as W10. There’s a lot more multimedia functionality than in a base build of Mint.

I’d go x470 if replacing board, but that’s just me.

I kept my x370 when upgrading from 1700x to 2700 (I had the kill-Ryzen.sh vulnerability on any speeds above stock and only had to spend 40 out of pocket) and its much better than at launch.
