I got out all my Christmas decorations last night so I have a big mess too

unfortunately one strand of lights doesn't work at all, one strand has a few bulbs working and one has half working. now I gotta figure out how to fix lights

I may have missed it, have you explained to everyone why it is, whatever it is, you're doing? The fasting, the nosebleeds, the running your heat down to 50 degrees in the house? I don't understand it.

Not that I have to.

Good question. I didn't think I'd make it 24 hours. That's the longest I've done and I only have shitty food to eat so that helps

It seems to always happen. They can be working perfectly when you take them off/down. Next year, as expected, one or more strings decide to ruin the party. I remember the old lights that if one bulb burnt out, the whole string wouldn't light up. Used to frustrate mom so bad removing/replacing bulbs until she found the bad one.

The nose bleed was epic. Like drenched 2 towels bad. There was blood on everything

Remember the bulbs that were about the size of your thumb that screwed in. When they burned out, our parents let us go out onto the street and throw them up in the air and they would pop on the street. Cuz what could possibly go wrong with all that broken glass?

Good times. Oh, and they also got blister-causing hot.

I guess this might sound crazy to suggest, any thought to getting some psychological help to figure out how to get yourself mentally and physically healthy so you can be there for more than a few of years of your son's life?

My Father died when I was 8... didn't have to happen. Why not make the steps?

Oh hell yeah they got hot. Many a tree dried out quickly with those things. Broken glass and bare feet. What could go wrong?

Well the new ones are wired differently so one bulb can be bad and the others will still light. The problem with the new style is the wires are so small, it doesn't take much to break them in the tiny sockets. Probably better to just throw them away and start over.

Not to be flippant about a serious subject, I think I would sue the one who suggested that you take on this particular physical regimen.

You aren't stupid, surely you can see where this leads?
