I understand.

You have to plug in a working strand and a non-working strand.

Pull a good bulb out of the working strand.

Then from the non-working strand, pull out the first bulb that does not light. Plug it into the good strand.

If the good strand lights up, the bulb is good. Put it back in the non-working strand.

Continue until you find the bad bulb and replace it with a good spare.

It you don't have spare bulbs, you’ll have to give up another non-working strand to use it’s bulbs as spares.
